September 2026 Feng Shui Energy Forecast: Double Energy, Double Impact

September is not an ordinary month.

In fact, according to the monthly Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology energies, September may be one of the most intense months of 2026.

September Energy forecast, double energies

Why?

Because this month, the monthly Feng Shui energies mirror the annual energies. In other words, the energies are doubled.

The supportive areas of the home can become especially beneficial, while the challenging areas deserve much more attention.

The good gets better, and the bad gets worse.

This makes September a particularly important month to understand what is happening around us and to use our homes wisely.

September Brings the Fire Rooster

In Chinese Astrology, September brings us the energy of the Fire Rooster.

The Rooster belongs to the Metal element. It is associated with precision, perfectionism, appearance, confidence, organization and, sometimes, a rather impressive ego!

After all, a Rooster does not simply walk into the room. It likes everyone to notice that it has arrived.

But this month, Fire sits above the Rooster’s Metal energy.

In the Five Element cycle, Fire controls and melts Metal. This can create tension between the desire for perfection, structure and control and the emotional, fast-moving Fire energy surrounding us.

We are also still in the Fire Horse year, so Fire is already very strong.

This combination can make September feel more emotional, sensitive, impatient and unpredictable. We may find ourselves reacting more quickly or becoming frustrated when things don’t go exactly according to plan.

My advice?

Don’t let perfectionism or ego turn a small problem into a big one.

Sometimes good enough really is good enough.

September’s Double Feng Shui Energies

This is where September becomes particularly interesting.

The monthly Flying Star energies fall into the same sectors as the annual energies, doubling their influence.

This means it is especially important to know which areas of your home are supportive and which areas are better kept calm.

The South and Southwest require particular care this month. Avoid unnecessary activation in these areas and keep them as peaceful as possible.

On the positive side, the East, Southeast and North carry supportive energies that we can make better use of this month.

Remember, Feng Shui is not about being afraid of an area of your home.

It is about understanding the changing energies and knowing when to activate, when to adjust and sometimes when simply to leave things alone.

Where Should You Sleep in September?

Sleep is one of the easiest ways to spend several hours absorbing the energy of a direction.

For September, the most supportive directions for the headboard of your bed are:

East
Southeast
North

If possible, position yourself so that the top of your head points toward one of these directions while you sleep.

Don’t worry if you cannot move your bed every month. Feng Shui should work with your life, not turn your bedroom into a monthly furniture-moving competition!

Simply do what is practical in your home.

Best Directions for Working in September

Where you sit while working also matters.

For September, the most supportive directions to face while working at your desk are:

West
Northwest

If possible, position your chair so that you are looking toward the West or Northwest while you work.

This is especially useful when you need to concentrate, make decisions, have important conversations or simply get through that never-ending to-do list.

Small adjustments can help us work with the energies rather than against them.

A Thought to Take With You

September may be intense, but knowing where the energies are gives us the opportunity to work with them rather than against them.

If we know what’s coming, we can prepare and react accordingly.
