Dear friends,
On February the 4th 2009 started the
Chinese New Year of the Ox.
The picture of a grass eating herd of cattle comes into mind. The ox is very much connected to its environment and to nature, to peace and to harmony (as long as you don’t get him angry). Its place is the second in the new started zodiac cycle and such shows the way in a new beginning and a new path. There will be lots of thinking and planning, calculating and holding back, because this year will be the base of the next future. People will be more careful and waiting, less adventurous and safety will be more important than to take risks. A main subject in this year will be the caring and preservation of our environment, planet earth.
Due to its double earth combination (earth over the Ox) this year will be more stable and much quieter, than the preceding years. Many international contracts will be locked and there will be a new order. That doesn’t mean there will be no war, but at least it shouldn’t be a big world war.
There might be more accidents, which are connected earth (earthquake, landslides, house collapse…) and because of the total lack of the element fire there may be wild fires, explosions or problems and accidents in aviation.
Health wise problems, associated with earth like the stomach, intestines, cells and nutrition (cancer, diabetes, obesity, poisoning …) might come up more often. Moreover, this year (like almost all the others) is not good for weak hearts.
All of you being born in the years of Ox, Goat or Dog or having a problem on your Astrological Profile with the Ox or the element earth should be very careful and precautious this year and not take unnecessary risks. It will be a year of challenges and changes.
Watch the following:
- Avoid mountains or desserts.
- Be careful driving your car.
- Avoid driving thru tunnels.
- Watch your health.
- Take antioxidants.
- Don’t travel straight into the North- east direction.
- Take a Rat charm, the traditional Chinese protection for this year.
Years of the Ox: 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009
Years of the Goat: 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003
Years of the Dog: 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006
Please note that the Chinese year begins only on 4 or 5 of February. Who is born thus in January, must take the year before (e.g. if I am born on 1.1.2002, then my year animal will be the Snake according to 2001, not the Horse.)
Protective measures for your home, office or business:
- A glass must be filled with: one third of coarse salt, 6 copper or nickel coins (cents …), and 1 silver coin (dime …), and be filled up with water. Don’t cover it with a lid. You may hide it in a cupboard or behind a plant or furniture.
Put the whole thing in the North direction in the northernmost room of the house, where it will stay until February 2010.
If your apartment has several floors, you should repeat this and the following measures on each floor, especially when there is an important room to the North.
- Place a plant in water (bamboo in water, potato in water …) in the East this year against litigation, fraud and burglary.
- Add some metal to the West this year (coins, metal plate, metal wind chime …) against illness.
In addition, there are dangerous energies in the East and the North-east.
Therefore:
- Don’t sit with your face to the North-east! You make the ox aggressive!
- Don’t sit with your back to the East! You should watch these dangerous energies.
- Don’t disturb the earth in these places, no renovations or disturbances
Please check the direction of your desk in your office, and make the necessary changes. Use a compass.
If the front of your home or office shows to the North-east:
- Please don’t start any renovations this year, which also applies to any North-east part in each room.
- You also may hang a metal wind chime at the entrance in this case.
You should not travel straight to the direction North-east. This is especially important for those who have a problem in their profile (the ox, goats and dogs among you and the ones having problems with the earth element).
Especially for all who are born in the year of the Rat, Snake or Rooster, it will be a very positive and successful year.
Years of the Rat: 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008
Years of the Snake: 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001
Years of the Rooster: 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005
The Chinese enhance the positive energies of the ox by adding an ox statue to the North-east part of the house, the direction of the ox.
Of course this is not allowed for the ones born in the years of ox, goat and dog!!!
